Atari 2600 Composite Video Mod. Using a Video Amplifer in place of the original RF modulator enables the Atari 2600 to output a composite video and audio signal to suit TVs with composite inputs (usually 3 x Phono Sockets - Yellow, Red, White). This modification costs £35 plus return shipping and all removed components are returned so the Atari could be put back to original specification at a later date if required. For TVs without suitable Phono connectors, but which have a suitable SCART socket, an adapter can be supplied for an extra £5
Atari 2600 HDMI Video Mod. Using a Video Amplifer in place of the original RF modulator enables the Atari 2600 to output a composite video and audio signal that is then fed to a small HDMI upscaler to give an HDMI output for modern TVs. This modification costs £85 plus return shipping and all removed components are returned so the Atari could be put back to original specification at a later date if required. Please note that the case will need cutting if you want the upscaler to be mounted internally, otherwise it will be supplied as an external unit. |
